Does Your Building Qualify?
Maryland’s Building Energy Performance Standards (MD BEPS) apply to buildings >35,000 SF with these key deadlines:
- SEPTEMBER 1st, 2025 – Benchmarking submittal to MDE is due.
- JUNE 1st, 2026 (and every 5 years after) – 3rd Party Verification
D.C.’s Building Energy Performance Standards (DC BEPS) apply to buildings >25,000 SF with these key deadlines:
- MAY 1st, 2025 – Benchmarking submittal to DOEE is due.(benchmarking submissions for buildings >10,000 SF begins in 2026!)
- MAY 1st, 2027 (and every 6 years after) – 3rd Party Verification
